|Orangeville Citizen - June 3, 1981:
Dufferin County has a new centennial secretary. Mary Jelly of York St. in Orangeville took over the duties as centennial secretary this week, and it’s a job she's looking forward to.
A resident of Orangeville for 27 years, Mary is the wife of Lindsey jelly, and they have five children, Don, Mari Lyn, Bette Jean, Karla and Paul.
Mrs. Jelly says she has just completed a business course at Sheridan College and that she works occasionally for Ontario Hydro. The job as centennial secretary, she says, is going to be very interesting.
"Dufferin County is special to our family," she says. "Lindsey is a direct descendant of William Jelly who founded Shelburne and a descendant on his mother's side of Orange Lawrence who founded Orangeville."
