John McClure, 84, eldest son of the late Patrick McClure, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Samuel Stinson, near Orangeville, Friday, Sept. 27th. He was born on the third line, west, Chinguacousy. He went to the west and settled at Balmoral 50 years ago, where he continued to live until a year ago. His wife predeceased him seven years ago. He is survived by three daughters and two sons and also four brothers, D. L., Brampton; Joseph, Norval; Thomas, Winnipeg, and Dr. Sam McClure, Newark, Ohio. Deceased was a member of the United Church since the union, but was for years an elder of the Presbyterian Church. He was a Conservative.
